Cleveland, Ohio / News Release — Magnus International Group has been selected for a 2014 Smart Business Evolution of Manufacturing Award, an honor given to top-performing area companies for their ability to be positioned for the future and keep manufacturing strong and viable in Northeast Ohio.
This is the company’s 11th business award overall and fourth Evolution of Manufacturing designation. Other distinctions for Magnus include regional and national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® awards and a No. 1 position on the Weatherhead 100 list of Northeast Ohio’s fastest-growing companies.
Magnus impressed award judges with the way it has adapted its manufacturing operations to compete in the global economy and how those changes have significantly impacted the company’s sales and employment growth, and product mix.
Among its recent accomplishments, Magnus invested substantially in a new, one-of-a-kind prill tower to manufacture a variety of products, including exclusive, solid animal feed ingredients. The new operation poises the company for continued diversity in groundbreaking sustainable products development.
Company co-owners Eric Lofquist and Scott Forster will be recognized with other winners on Feb. 20 at the Evolution of Manufacturing Conference, which will be held at Cuyahoga Community College’s Advanced Technology Training Center in Cleveland.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating the unique achievements of leading area manufacturers,” said Scott. “It’s inspiring to see other thriving companies that are adding vitality to the local economy.”
