Hardy Industrial Technologies, a Magnus company located in Painesville Township, is giving out 100 hams for Easter on Saturday, April 19, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Township’s Fire Station #3 – 550 Hardy Road.
The event is exclusively for Painesville Township residents (please have ID ready) and will take place rain or shine while supplies last. Just like our annual turkey giveaway, participants will receive a ham by driving through the back entrance of the fire station’s garage. One ham per household, please. Doors will open right at 11 am. You’re welcome to join the line sooner.
Each Sugardale ham weighs approximately eight pounds, and is fully cooked and sealed. Giant Eagle in Painesville Township is dropping off the hams about 30 minutes before the event. They will be stored in the freezer that morning so they have extra staying-power, but it is recommended that you take the ham home after you receive it, as the meat will stay fresh longer when it’s been unrefrigerated for less than four hours.
