Magnus International Group has been selected for a 2015 Smart Business Evolution of Manufacturing Award, an honor given to top-performing Northeast Ohio companies for demonstrating excellence in process improvement initiatives.
This is the company’s 16th business award overall and fifth Evolution of Manufacturing designation. Honorees are being heralded for positioning their businesses for the future and keeping regional manufacturing viable.
Magnus impressed award judges with the innovative way the company has adapted its manufacturing operations to compete in the global economy and how those changes have significantly impacted sales and employment growth, and product mix.
Magnus creates one-of-a-kind natural animal feed ingredients and innovative oleochemicals such as natural wax. We uniquely transform renewable raw materials such as vegetable oils, cooking greases, animal fats and other co-products that may be landfill-bound.
Company co-owners Eric Lofquist and Scott Forster will be recognized with other winners on February 19 at the Evolution of Manufacturing Conference. The event will be held at the Advanced Technology Training Center at Cuyahoga Community College’s Cleveland campus.
The conference will showcase how manufacturers are facing and overcoming the challenges of regional and national growth by retaining their talent, employing effective training programs and incorporating next-generation manufacturing practices.
