This is the second year for the Smart Business Network program and Magnus’ second Smart 50 win. The event was hosted at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven in Mayfield Heights.

The company was acknowledged for its groundbreaking advances in the development and manufacturing of one-of-a-kind products ranging from natural animal feed ingredients, and natural industrial and consumer waxes to customized fatty acids, biodiesel fuel feedstocks and other specialty chemicals. Magnus creates these products by uniquely refining and repurposing renewable raw materials such as domestic and tropical vegetable oils, cooking greases, animal fats and more.

Smart 50 judges were impressed with how these accomplishments have positively impacted Magnus’ sales, employment, new construction, diversification of products and services, and business continuity. The judges also noted the company’s differentiation from the competition, generosity to the community, and how the combination of innovation and impact has created a sustainable, scalable business.
